LaKesha

Sultry, soulful, and endlessly creative, LaKesha (born Lakesha Bennett) is now based in Atlanta, Georgia. Singing has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember, from school choirs to solo performances, and her passion for storytelling through music has only grown stronger over the years.

LaKesha’s career launched with her first single, “Gotta Let You Go” (2013), produced by Craig McDonald, which explored breaking free from a toxic relationship. That same year, she contributed “You Don’t Know Me” for Medivance Billing Service Inc.’s Erase The Stigma Now campaign, raising awareness for mental health and substance abuse issues.

Since then, LaKesha has continued to release music that spans R&B, soul, and contemporary sounds. Notable singles include “Insanity” (2020), “Winning” (2022) featuring her brother Antonym, “Not Looking Back” (2022) written by songwriter Eugene Lee, and “Finally Home” (2025), a heartfelt love song. 

Her debut album, Deeper (2021), remains a soulful collection of love songs that captures the essence of classic R&B.

In addition to her music, LaKesha writes and produces for her AI artists, Elle LaRae and Maeda, giving life to new songs and modern interpretations of her work. She has shared the stage with international and local artists across genres, from reggae to gospel, including Antigua’s Reggae Ambassador Causion, Simone-G, Sultry, and gospel vocalists Glacia Robinson, Abi McDonald, and Kristine Alicia. She also captivated audiences as a lead singer with the Miami Soundbyte Band across South Florida, and a lead and background singer with Mr. Vee and the Simply Awesome Band across Metro Atlanta.

LaKesha is also the host of “Lounging with LaKesha”, a 30-minute weekly radio show on KHAMRadio.com, where listeners can enjoy her music as well as the latest neo-soul and R&B tracks, creating a space for soulful sounds and creative discovery.

Now in Atlanta, LaKesha continues to create, innovate, and explore new sounds while staying true to the soulful artistry that defines her music, sharing her voice on stage, in the studio, and over the airwaves.
